PLEASE READ THIS PAGE BEFORE STARTING!

TASKS for you to practice!

1. Edit Text: Change the wording of a paragraph on the Practice Page.
2. Add a Section: Insert a new content block, such as “Upcoming Events” or “Club News.”
3. Change an Image: Replace an existing image with another from your device or GoDaddy's library.
4. Undo/Redo: Try making a change, then undo it, and redo it again to observe the effect.
5. Add a Gallery: Add a photo gallery section and upload at least three images.
6. Add a Video Section:  Link to a video on YouTube.
7. Preview Changes: Use the Preview button to see how your updates will look live.
8. Publish Updates: Click Publish to make your practice updates live (within the practice area).  Your Practice Page is not visible on the CFC website page at any time. READ THE SAFE PUBLISHING PROTOCOL BELOW.
9. Reset or Clean Up: Remove any test content you added to keep the page tidy.

Each trainee has a dedicated Practice Page to work on within the Cape Fear Cruisers website. This setup allows for safe exploration without affecting the main site content.

However, it's important to note:

🛑 Publishing updates affects the entire website—not just your page.

When any editor clicks “Publish,” all unpublished changes made anywhere on the site will be published, including any edits in progress by others.

• ✅ Work only on your assigned Practice Page
• ✅ Communicate clearly with other trainees and Betty before publishing
• ✅ Use Preview to double-check your work
• 🚫 Do not publish unless everyone confirms it’s safe

Keeping open communication ensures that everyone’s work stays safe and coordinated. Because all changes across the website are published together, it's essential to coordinate with other editors.

• When anyone clicks 'Publish,' it pushes all unpublished changes on the site live—including edits made by others on different pages.

• Before publishing, always notify other trainees and Betty to confirm it's okay.
